Fourteen months
being the church
but not feeling like church
brought an opportunity to be changed
The events in and around the world
reminded some of us...
put an ever finer point on others of us...
that we do not always hear
the stories of all that separate us
Pentecost gives us a strong example
of how the world we live in
is one world that we share
with people with varied
cultures, experiences, lives
Faithful in our own ways
yet bound by our One God
Pentecost reminds us to LISTEN
to LEARN
to CHANGE
to WELCOME
to TELL THE STORY
of God's great LOVE
of God's great DESIRE
of God's great PEACE
That can only come
when we begin to listen
to the wind
feel the fire
and live in love
