Sometimes we need a reminder
that hits us over the head.
Other times we need the reminder
to come as a whisper.
Sometimes we need to know
through the embrace of another.
Other times we need to know
in the silence of our hearts:
God is bold.
God is gentle.
God is reconciling.
God is comforting.
God is ....
God comes, reminds,
cajoles, beckons.
God's hand reaches out,
waiting for us to desire it.
Waiting for us to take it.
Waiting for us to never let it go.
For God is love.
And we are worthy of that love.
