Welcome to my blog!

I am the Rector (aka Pastor or Priest)
called to St. Alban's Episcopal Church
in Indianapolis, Indiana in May of 2016
(You can call me Reverend Debbie or Pastor Debbie)

We are a diverse faith community,
and I mean that in every sense of the word.

This is a place where we worship, pray, celebrate and work together.

St. Alban's is home to the Peace Garden.
We took about a half acre of our property and turned it into a garden that grows produce to supply area food pantries with fresh greens, tomatoes, beans and more.
We plant a white cross to draw awareness to each homicide victim in Indianapolis.

We are known as the "Baseball Church," as the home to St. Alban's Baseball.
There are two baseball diamonds here where boys and girls
come each spring to "PLAY BALL!"

We serve our community by being home to a number of meetings
from AA to neighborhood meetings.
We welcome other organizations into our space, like:
Worthmore Academy: a private school for kids with learning challenges
Grace and Mercy Assembly:  a non-denominational church
Buttermilk Mountain's Dog Biscuits:
made by adults with physical and mental challenges
Devington Association, our immediate neighborhood gathers
here to learn what is going on around us
. . . plus parties, funeral receptions, retreats and meetings.

I was called here to be a part of this amazing community.
A community willing to learn, grow and change as we discover more about
God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
I am thankful!

While I'm not writing blog posts very often anymore, I do write many sermons.
You will find links to all my sermons to the right ----->
